Challenge
The project began with the task of improving Vinted’s user experience by addressing common frustrations. During the initial generative research phase, I discovered that many users struggled to locate exact products they had seen online or in real life. This insight revealed the potential for integrating a new feature to streamline the search process.
Role
My contribution started with initiating and conducting extensive research to understand user needs and behaviors. I then took on the responsibility of developing the information architecture to integrate the new possible features, creating detailed wireframes and prototypes, and conducting thorough usability testing. Furthermore, I led the redesign of Vinted’s visual identity, ensuring a cohesive and refreshed look that aligned with the brand.
Solution
The outcome involved integrating an image recognition feature that allows users streamline their search process, making it faster and more efficient for users to find exactly what they were looking for. The image recognition feature enhances user satisfaction by simplifying the search process, likely increasing user engagement and retention. These improvements are expected to drive higher traffic and sales, strengthening Vinted's position.
